Reflecting on Our Past Project: The Mobile Clinic on La Tortue
At Tortuga Island United, our commitment to serving the community of Tortuga Island, Haiti, has always been at the forefront of our mission. On July 29, 2022, we had the privilege of operating a free mobile clinic that touched the lives of nearly a thousand patients in just four days.
During this initiative, we provided essential medical care and free medications, demonstrating the power of community and compassion. The overwhelming response we received reminded us that life is short, and it is vital to do good with what we have. The smiles of the patients we served fueled our determination to continue making a difference.
As we reflect on this successful project, we are excited to share that our journey is far from over. We are in the planning stages for a multimillion-dollar hospital that will bring long-term healthcare solutions to La Tortue. This facility will not only provide essential services but also symbolize hope and resilience for the community.
